Two concept designs for 3rd ST NW were presented at the last planning commission meeting. The designs show options for parking, wider pedestrian/bike lanes, and surface markings.
The flow of traffic would be restricted to northbound traffic only (from Wooster to Tusc). The change would provide more on-street parking and make the intersection at Wooster and 3rd St safer.
The design details were not final as of the meeting but the Planning Commission did vote to change 3rd St NW to one way.
Do note that the stripes and what look to be red brick are not an accurate representation of the material but rather show the usage of space for the proposed pathway.
